The Sound of Baden-Baden. Johannes Brahms, Anastacia and the Berlin Philharmonic – Baden-Baden’s music scene hits a lot of different notes. The SWR3 New Pop Festival brings the city to a boil every year, Brahms lived and composed many of his famous works here and the world’s top orchestras pass through in a non-stop stream and time in the Festival Hall. Just how extraordinary it is to stroll through Baden-Baden on a balmy evening, still feeling intoxicated by the music you’ve just heard... that’s something you’ll have to discover for yourself.

Festival Hall Baden-Baden
At the Whitsun Festival we bridge the gap between Old Europe and New Hollywood. Long ridiculed, film music is now an independent branch of musical modernism that focuses less on avant-garde and more on applicability, and incidentally familiarises the audience with dissonance and other modernisms. "Cinema" is something like the sun at Whitsun, but there are other planets: Look forward to jazz, chamber music, British and Russian symphonies.

Every year at the end of August, the tranquil calm in front of the Kurhaus suddenly comes to life: tents grow up in front of the imposing columns of the classicist building, parasols are stretched out and tables are set up: The spa garden is transformed into a large party and gourmet mile - the Kurpark-Meeting begins.

Rock & pop concert
Hot newcomers from Germany and abroad transform Baden-Baden into a music metropolis once a year. All music fans and the entire pop culture scene can rejoice! Baden-Baden will once again become the "SWR3 New Pop City".
Video broadcasts of all festival concerts live and free of charge in the Kurgarten and on the Fieserbrücke.
