Kreuzfelsen circular trail
This varied hike begins at the Geroldsau Waterfall trail entrance at the Bütthof hiking car park. From there, the route follows Littersbachweg to Herrgottstannenweg. A steep incline leads to the Kreuzfelsen, an outcrop with a cross, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view, including three different castles. From there, the route continues upwards to Büttertstrasse and then to the gorge-like Grobbachtal valley. From the Waldgaststätte Bütthof restaurant, which is a great place to take a break, the route leads past the waterfall back to the forest car park.
Distance: 11 km with stretches of steep incline
Hiking time: 3 hours and 45 minutes at a leisurely pace
The starting point at the Bütthof forest car park is accessible with public transport.
