Badische Weinstraße

Blessed by the sun - a road lined with wine!

Make your way to the magical land of Cockaigne!

Here, there’s a good glass of wine on almost every street corner. It’s certainly the place that will make any wine buff’s eyes light up. Starting in Baden-Baden, this famous wine road winds its way through the charming foothills of the Black Forest. Here a glass of Spätburgunder, there a glass of Müller-Thurgau, the choice is almost endless! It’s just a pity that you won’t be able to fit all of the fine varieties into your car! Make sure you keep enough free space, however, for a couple of bottles of the precious Baden-Baden Riesling!

What with all this wine on your mind, make sure you don’t miss out on the culinary delights served in the numerous homely Rebland restaurants. From here, the wine road continues its journey south through the rest of the Ortenau wine region, onto the Breisgau district. Then it passes into the Kaiserstuhl and Tuniberg regions before the road finally reaches its end, just short of the Swiss border, at the town of Weil am Rhein.

What more can a wine connoisseur wish for?
