Applying for benefits under the State Civil Protection Act for employers

Is your employee involved in civil protection on a voluntary basis, and have you granted them time off work for this purpose? If so, you can claim compensation for the financial loss incurred as a result by submitting this application.

Employees are granted time off work when they are called upon by a civil protection authority to attend an official event. Employers must continue to pay their wages despite the time off. This may result in a financial loss for the employer; this may primarily take the form of loss of earnings, but could also include, for example, medical expenses. These costs do not have to be borne by the employer. Instead, reimbursement by the civil protection authorities is provided for. This application procedure applies in such cases.

Responsible authority

Responsibility lies with the lower-level civil protection authorities.
